RDS-37 Soviet hydrogen bomb test (1955)
This is the world's most popular video about the hydrogen bomb! On 22 November 1955, the Soviet Union conducted its first hydrogen bomb test, code-named RDS-37, at the Semipalatinsk Test Site. The RDS-37 was dropped from a Tupolev Tu-16 bomber and detonated at an altitude of 1550 m with a yield of 1.6 Megatons.
That's a spicy meatball!
No waiver claiming 'No animals were harmed during production of this film' ?
Fairly impressive, but 60+ yrs. later we can't stop a roadside bomb made out of a $30 cell phone, or a zealot looking for those virgins he heard about.
History Repeats Itself! But isn't the power, destruction, and eerie darkness beautiful... A ending of nothing.
Now, in 2020s, we have young generations of zombies who are scared of creepy pasta stories in reddit and wouldn't last a few hours after the batteries of their phones or tablets go flat. I can't imagine what would they look like if they were in the position of those men at 02:10...
Good footage. It's clear in the image what people mean when they say the detonation looks like the sun. It does - to me.
That narration from 01:30 sounds to me like Vyacheslav Tikhonov. I wonder if it really was him and if he also did voice work apart from acting. Also from 02:10 around the middle bottom of the screen, looks like a sleeping animal got disturbed and started running for dear life.
😂 çok korktuk...
Stop deleting my comment, RUclips... GOT IT?
Most of energy the released was lost to space above 5 megatons. It's why we have no more than 5 megaton weapons now.
This is something you dont want to see.
#neverforget Humans have detonated weeeellll over 2000 nukes since WW2!
Will Russia ever grow up, they are like the ignorant school bully whose brain has not developed normally, simple knuckle draggers.
Man I love these communist fabrications to undermine facts
The mensaje at the end really said plof
So 70 km from ground zero is safe. Ok, that means atom bomb is a big lie.

it's a shame that this bombs didn't make it to modern warfare
The stupidity of the human race!
Why did they choose comrade blyat to film the explosion? You know see the top if the crown
The greatest generation became the garbage generation.
Whatever . . . (yawns)
Just for some perspective, the camera is 33 miles away in the shot of the village. If you detonated this bomb 6 miles into France at the channel crossing, and then stood on the English Coast in Dover, this is what you would see. And this bomb had a yield of 1.6 megatons... Imagine the power of the Tsar Bomba with a yield of 58 megatons (originally designed to be a hundred)
Cameraman never dies😂 they can survive even hydrogen b0mbs😂
Evil!
Fun fact: Godzilla nukes off to French atomic bomb back in 1998.
Maybe the part of the oppenheimer movie where oppenheimer say he has burned the atmosphere was real and not just fictional

Is that what mr. Biden wants to do to Russia in the next a few months?
Yes, and that's why Russia has nuclear subs moving around off the coast of Florida. To remind the Americans not to go there.
Yes put on your goggles. They will protect you!
The quintessence of human insanity at its best.
There are no survivers just people who die quickly and people who die slowly
Don't forget the little girl who also was killed.

It's called Tsar bomba, and it was the Biggest Nuke bomb in the world.
So which state is next?
Fake.
I’m sure nuclear weapons have nothing to do with global warming
